April (Humid) Showers Bring May Flowers: How to Survive New York City Humidity

Saturday, April 2, 2016
Now that we are in this transition from winter to summer, the weather continues to fluctuate like crazy. Yesterday was very humid and rainy. I left the house prepared more for a thunderstorm than 70 degree weather, which was a pretty bad idea.I wore jeans, boots, long sleeves and a jacket. Needless to say, I was ready to run into a store and buy shorts. It rained all morning, and every now and then in the evening, but the humidity was unbearable.

Therefore, it got me thinking about the perfect thing to wear in these sticky (literally) situations. I think the best thing to wear in these conditions is linen. It is so lightweight - even if it is long sleeved or short sleeved. However, just a flowy shirt, pants, or dresses and skirts work perfectly as well!

So, no matter what, these humid and rainy days may suck, but I will take them over snow any day! These purchases are also perfect for the warmer weather as well (which will hopefully be here to stay in a few weeks!)
What do you do to make the best of the sticky weather?
xoxo,
