Staying On Top Of The Weather in San Francisco

Monday, April 25, 2016
The weather in San Francisco is a little wishy-washy, all throughout the day. At one point I was zipping up my jacket, and then five minutes later I had to fan myself to keep cool. It definitely is a lot different from New York, but in a very interesting way!

Our first stop today was the enchanting Red Oak Forest. It was a beautiful, easy walk, with great scenery. However, it was pretty cold considering it was mostly forest and not much sun. Therefore, a jacket was very necessary.
The coffee in my hand was just about the best coffee I have ever had. It is double brewed coffee from a famous food (but actually just coffee) truck. I am not normally a coffee drinker, but I know that if I lived here, I would be hooked

Like the tourist I am, on my first day, I had to stop at the Gold Gate Bridge. It was really windy. I cannot stress that enough! Although the sun was beaming down on me (so much that I did get a little burnt), the wind was crazy. Once again, it really depends on where you are, the time of day, etc. in San Francisco to help you determine your outfit of the day. My aunt warned me to wear extra layers, and thankfully I took her advice!
My go to jacket for fluctuating cool weather is my Barbour Beadnell. It is definitely a substantial extra layer, but does not make you too warm - perfect for these weather conditions. In the Red Oak Forest and at the bridge, it was a life saver.
